Rush Hour is a West Virginia based, 5 piece Bluegrass band, that is formed by experienced musicians who have been on the Bluegrass circuit over the past few years. Rush Hour has a vast selection of original material, strong instrumentation and spectacular vocals that will be sure to turn heads in the world of Bluegrass.

Chris Davis on mandolin and vocals
Chris Davis is one of the most spectacular vocalists you will ever hear. Chris began his musical career touring with his father Danny and brother Wes in a family band based out of Ohio, where he was raised, and has been perfecting his vocal and musical abilities for several years as a member of the The Bluegrass Strangers, Melvin Goins and Windy Mountain, Honi Deaton and Dream and currently as a full time member of both Larry Cordle and Lonesome Standard Time and Wildfire. Over the years Chris has also served as a fill-in musician for several bands including IIIrd Tyme Out, Wildfire, The James King Band, Allecia Nugent's Band, Melonie Cannon, and as a fiddle player for the WTCR FM Country Jamboree Band, which performs in the Tri-State area. Chris also teaches fiddle, mandolin, and guitar lessons at Route 60 Music in Barboursville, WV. Chris has the high lonesome and tenor voice that fans are instantly drawn to and he was born to be on stage. He adds lead and harmony vocals and mandolin to the new Rush Hour sound.
Kelly Davis on guitar and vocals
Kelly Davis resides in Wayne, WV and comes from a family filled with talented musicians and vocalists. He grew up playing Bluegrass, Country, Gospel and Rock and Roll music. He performs and records in all genres of music, and most recently he has been performing with musicians from the Step Into The Blue recording, the Bluegrass band Rush Hour and showcasing his talents in several West Virginia area Country and Rock and Roll bands such as Low Ground and Steel Horse, with several of the areas top musicians such as Kenny Joe Johnson, Rick Brown, Greg Fletcher, Bud Carroll, of American Minor, and Rodney Crisp, a former member of Split Nixon. In addition to his musical and vocal abilities, Kelly is a talented song writer, with material that has been performed in several styles of music. Kelly wrote Track 7 of the Step Into The Blue project, "Daddy's Meadow Fields", which was sung by Ernie Thacker. Kelly has many original songs which have been recorded by other bands and in Demo form for distribution, and is one of the most talented guitarist, singer, and songwriter in the music community today. Kelly addss lead/rhythm guitar and sings lead and baritone vocals in the Rush Hour Bluegrass Band.
Chris Stockwell on dobro (resonator guitar) and vocals
Chris is a very talented and experienced dobro player who has sat in on performances and studio recording with dozens of bands throughout West Virginia and Kentucky. Chris began his musical career as a jazz drummer, but soon discovered that he wanted to play the dobro after hearing fellow West Virginian "the great Jerry Douglas". Chris has been a member of Honi Deaton & Dream, Buck Carroll & Breakin' New Ground, Shawver's Crossing, 3rd String Bluegrass Band, Braxton County Bluegrass Band, and was a member of the original Rush Hour in 2004 and 2005, when the group took 10th place at the SPBGMA International Band Competition. In 2006 Chris also played a show with Lou Reid and Carolina at the MACC Bluegrass Festival in Columbus, OH, and spent a few months playing for.. Brandon Shuping on banjo and vocals
Brandon also has been in and around the Bluegrass circuit for years with bands such as The James King Band, The Bluegrass Strangers, and for 5 years as a full time member and mandolin player for Ernie Thacker & Route 23. Brandon is an extremely talented musician and is a second generation Bluegrass artist. Brandon's father Garland Shuping, played banjo with Jim and Jesse, The Bluegrass Alliance, and his own group, Wild Country. Brandon has worked for many years to develop his own mandolin and banjo styles, and has proven to be one of the best in the business. Brandon will be adding banjo and vocals to the Rush Hour sound.
Tim Corbett on upright bass and vocals
Tim Corbett is an experienced bass player who has played with several bands throughout the region including Buck Carroll & Breakin' New Ground, Bobby Maynard & Breakdown, Timberline, Union Ridge, and The Bing Brothers Band, which he toured with for 2 weeks in Ireland and Scottland. Tim also has filled in on Bass with Larry Cordle and Lonesome Standard Time at several festivals and shows, including a Live XM recording that was recorded from their show at the Old Town School of Folk in Chicago, IL in August 2006. Over the past few months he has been playing bass on the bluegrass circuit with Larry Cordle, and Blue Moon Rising in addition to Rush Hour. Tim is originally form upstate New York, where he was taught by fellow musicians Walt & Keith Edwards, as well as his father. In New York he was a member of several bands such as Southwind, Shaky Ground, and Chestnut Creek. Tim is a knowledgeable, and energetic musician, and loves to produce, write, and arrange Bluegrass music, which he is displayed as part of the Step Into The Blue Project. Tim is a solid and driving bass player and will also be adding bass vocals to the new Rush Hour sound.
